Many families across Fiji were affected as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. A joint effort by the Erasito Beca Team through its Community Project resulted in the distribution of 95 food packages across 15 communities which included informal settlements in the Central Division.
The preparatory stages which involved liaising with the NGO’s, NPO’s and communities to assist us with the logistics of the project was indeed a challenging task. The Erasito Beca food distribution Teams were cautious of the house-to-house food distribution as we had to ensure that all COVID-19 protocols were adhered to when delivering and presenting the food packages. At the end of the day, a “Together We Can Win This” attitude and mind set enabled our Team to successfully distribute food to many families affected by COVID-19 within the greater Suva Area and Naitasiri Province.
