Fiji Marriot Resort Momi Bay, situated on the western coast of Viti Levu in Momi Bay provided our Erasito Family with two nights of relaxation and two exotic days filled with lots of adventure. We left the Capital around 1300hours on Friday, 26th March, 2021. Our 4 hour drive to Momi Bay was filled with laughter as there was lots of storytelling, listening to good music and short naps. At 0700hours on Saturday, 27th March, 2021 everyone was ready for the Company photo shoot near the beach just after the sun rose.
After breakfast we all prepared for the Amazing Race which was organised by the very welcoming Staff of Fiji Marriot. We were divided into teams and everyone from our youngest child (a little puppy) to the oldest Staff member came together to form four unique teams. A number of Clues were distributed through the Resort and the first team to go round the island collecting and acquiring each clue won the race. After lunch we were off to another adventure outside of the Fiji Marriot Resort.
Zip Fiji took us on a humongous but incredible tour through a picturesque rain forest via zip lines. We zipped along 10 lines taking us up to the highest point then zipping down on 6 lines and a stop at an ancient limestone cave on our way back. Flying through the nature’s beauty on 16 giant zip lines was an amazing experience. After 3 hours of a tiring but exciting tour we returned to the Resort to get ready for the nights Holi’s (festival of colours) special dinner and after-party. We were served with delicious authentic Indian cuisine for dinner and mouthwatering Indian sweets for dessert. The Holi after-party was a delight, seeing work colleagues grooving and moving on the dance floor revealing a completely fun side of their personality.
At 1200hours, Sunday, 27th March 2021 it was time for us to leave Fiji Marriott Resort. Sadden by this thought, we decided to extend our stay a few more hours – the few extra hours enabled us to soak in the luxurious atmosphere of the Resort. We finally said our goodbyes to the hospitable Staff of the Resort and drove back to Suva, each one of us with our own special memorable moment.
