Erasito Consultants Limited were commissioned to carry out a structural assessment of 63 no. residential dwellings at the Matavolivoli Residential Subdivision in Nadi. ECL carried out the following:
- Determined the structural adequacy of the residential building structures. Report whether the houses are presently compliant with Fiji loading requirements (i.e. for wind and earthquake) and structural standards.
- Advise the Housing Authority on the structural aspects deemed necessary to ensure the structural integrity of the 63 dwellings.
- Monitor the structural upgrading works.
ECL represented Housing Authority during legal proceedings in the capacity of their expert witness. ECL compiled engineering cyclone certificates for the 61 dwellings.
