A World Bank funded project for the Government of Kiribati. The project involved the identification of Government and public assets which require protection from global warming (sea rise). Upon selection of suitable public assets, engineering design work was carried out to protect the structures. The public assets chosen for protection was the international runway at Bonriki and, roads and causeways in South Tarawa. As a sub consultant to Beca, ECL were responsible for the detailed engineering designs of selected shoreline protection works and procurement and construction supervision support for shoreline construction during the implementation phase.
